hi everyone-about to take on mbna for the return of credit card charges on a card closed some 2 years ago.As well as a 25 pound monthly fee the interest rate went up to well over 20 percent.Has anyone else has any luck with mbna.Anyone know how to claim back the extra interest from the higher rate?-not sure what i can claim for but will go through this excellent site and hopefully get them back for the runaround they gave me originally.

Hi Joankevin, and welcome

You've come to the right place to get back your charges.

Just read the FAQ's and have a look in the forum for your bank and read the experiences others have had. Above all don't rush in without plenty of reading. When you are happy, start a new thread in the section for your institution that you are claiming against, and away you go. There are lots of people to help you, but don't forget this is a very much a self help site.

Have a look through these links

Good luck but you won't need it

Welcome to the MBNA fan club.

Type MBNA Bank Europe into the search facility in the blue tool bar above and you can sit & read the MBNA threads. That should take you a week or two. Suggest you have a stiff drink in your hand before embarking upon task. You will see when you read the threads that alcohol is a pre-requisite when dealing with MBNA!

Good luck!!!
