i have just passed the 40 day period for response from barclays on how uch they've charged me. they have send me two letters both returning my £10 cheque saying basically that they're under no obligation and they'll send me cop statements eventually. i sent the first template letter from martin's site. any advise which letter to send now. i dont know how much they owe me so i cant fill in the next templates properly. any ideas??

hi i am new to this page, but thought i would let you know that i had sent a letter to my bank the halifax, who took my ten pound and only sent statements they wanted to. i requested the others to be sent out to me and they gave me copies of the ones they already sent,but less the three years statments i wanted. i called again then was told to write i did this and that was on the 5th of march with no answer to my letter. i am not sure where to go from here either.

Hi, I am new to this website. I am after some advise, Barclays recently sent me a reply regarding my first action letter. They have offered me a settlement figure which is only half of what they actually owe me what steps should i take next as i do not wish to except the offer. Is there a sample letter? Thanks bex25

Bex welcome to the site.You will need to keep reading up.

Its not unusual to get these letters as they do not want to pay full claims until they are forced to by court action.

Have a look in the banks temp folders (library )

I would also start a thread of your own in the Barclays bank group where you will get further help from fellow Barclays claimants.
