Hi All,

I have just sent off my letter before action to the hsbc bank. Does anyone have any advice on if I should be doing anything while I am waiting during the next 14 days. The hsbc have not responded to my claim for the charges to be refunded, although when I rang I was told it was being looked into. However the 14 days are up today so I have sent the LBA. Am I doing right so far???

Nell

blimey that's good, they had my LBA on the 5th April so fingers crossed they'll just pay up. It would be nice to get the interest too though. I guess they've decided to bite the bullet.

I wonder if they read this site......

Yeah, they said they were not paying interest at all, and that if it got to court they were confident it would go in their favour!!!!!!!!!!!!

that's bollards and they know it. :D

god that was quick? what did you do, threaten their lives or something? lol

DCA's - they have the same power as an infinite number of untrained chimps working on a script for Hamlet, but the chimps would probably at least get it right :D

I know, I was beginning to resign myself to filing in court! However, on the letter I wasn sent it states that the refund would be paid within 7 days of them receiving my acceptance letter. I rang today to check they had received the letter and to see when the money would be paid into my account. They noe tell me it takes 14 days. I sthere anything I can do about this as it clearly states on the letter 7 days?

I'd personally give them the 14 days and if it hasn't transpired by then start kicking off. I know that adds a further 7 days but until you get that cheque in the bank and it's cleared it's still a game of chicken with them...to my mind anyway.

Unless anyone else can correct me?
