I submitted a small claim against HSBC for 6 years of bank charges plus accrued interest on 3rd February. Today I received a letter from the court with a defence from HSBC disputing the full claim and denying any relief.

The solicitors sent me a separate letter asking for a full breakdown of the charges that I was asking for. I submitted the charges as they are shown on my bank statement and there are no further breakdowns available to me on the statements.

Can anyone tell me what I should do next? Or what is supposed to happen next?

This sounds like standard stuff from the banks - but somebody like Michael Browne can give you a real definitive answer. If in doubt, start a new thread in the HSBC forum - you'll find loads of other people at various stages of claiming from this bank, so help - advice - and encouragement should be there in abundance. Good luck - hedgey xxx ;)

I do not answer queries via PM. If you send me a PM, please include a link to your thread - any advice I am able to offer will be on your thread.
