HI,

I've just joined this site as I am about to start my claim against Lloyds TSB. Thought I may need guidance throught the process and there seems to be lots of excellent information on here.

I requested my statements from Lloyds and they arrived yesterday! (after 4 weeks). A list of charges arrived but not the full statements. They said if I wanted the full statements I will need to request again? (More time to wait)

Do I need the full statements to work out if I can claim back partial interest charges?

I'm just working out the total now for the charges shown and its over £7K

Regards

Kevin

Start a new thread about your case on the Halifax Forum

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/halifax-bank-bank-scotland/

There you can make contact with all the other people claiming against Halifax and they can advise you directly. This forum is the general introductory one.

Good luck

Hi Fireranger,

And welcome aboard,

The SAR letter which I assumed you used requests a list of all charges OR the statements, If they have sent you the charges then you should have enough information to work out your claim.

The only interest you can claim at Prelim and Letter Before ction stage is that interest you paid on the charges that were levied on your account.

As you can imagine the spreadsheets and the maths for this are a bit of a pain and many (myself included) don't bother. The numbers involved may not be worth it.

If you want to have a look check the Advanced Spreadsheets in the Templates folder

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/182-6-interest-calculation-spreadsheets.html

Here are a couple of links and I suggest you always keep them to hand.

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/faqs-please-read-these/31460-example-step-step-instructions.html

When you are comfortable start a thread "XXXX v Bank Name here" in the relevant bank forum as then people with specific experience of this bank can offer support and advice.

There is a lot of information to take in here so if unsure it is always best to Ask first.

If you need a quick answer to a question you could always try the chatroom as there are usually some very helpful people in there.

Very best of luck

BB

Any advise offered is my own opinion, and if in doubt, always seek clarification.
