In principle yes as you will have agreed in your contract that they may dislcose your personal data to third parties.

On the other hand you are protected by the DPA from unnecessary processing.

You need to tell us the circumstances.

I want to apply for mortgage the company wants 3 months bank statement ,I only have access from internet ,I told them that i can provdie from internet and i dont have statements posted to me saving paper.But the banks want £5 for each statements.Cant they just ring my bank and get what thet want.

I think that for the cost of 3 months statements it's not worth hassling.

 

I agree that it is ridiculous not to accept internet statements and I agre that £5.00 per sheet is extortionate.

I agree it is ridiculous I printed off my last 2 years statements off internet banking (Halifax) and I cannot see difference from statements Halifax sent me for my SAR request apart from paper quality.
