Hi everyone I am new to this site and it looks to be very helpful and friendly. I am trying to claim back my daughter's unfair bank charges which amount to £2521.00 not including interest. I have had what i think is probably a standard letter sayint they are sorry I am not happy with their charges but they wont be paying any back etc. I have now sent off a second letter stating i will be taking court action and I have given the 14 days to reply so still another week to go till the deadline. I am worried they might take me to court and does anyone know how much it will cost me in total for court fees in total if it went all the way. My daughter is in a catch 22 position if they didnt charge her she could probably get herself straight but the charges are crippling her sometimes as much as £120 a month. It is making her ill. She also has an overdraft of £350 will they close her account do you think and withdraw her overdraft. Every time we have contacted them in the past 12months or so to try and get some help ie asking them not to charge her for 2 months and let her get back into credit they have been really unhelpful

Hope some of you will be able to support and help me through this

hi sitcom it appears you are going fine at the moment.

everyone is nervous about the possiblity of going to court but the truth is that you are highly unlikely to see the inside of the court room although you will have to go and file a claim at court or on MCOL.

the court fee will be £120 for the amount you are claiming.

lloyds do not normally close accounts after the 1st claim. as far as the as the OD is concerned i dont think they will just remove it. I have a claim going on against lloyds and my OD is nearly £2500. set up a parachute account just incase so if they do withdraw your daughter has another account to put wages etc into

Lloyds settled in full

Halifax CC settled

£417.00 :D

Lloyds PPI

£3672.15 Refunded off loan :D
