Hi all

Just wanted to introduce myself. I have been reading the forums and faqs with great interest. I have just spoken to barclays on the phone who have said they will post me all my statements for the time period in question and that i should just highlight the charges and post them back to leicester with a covering letter. Bit confused as from what i have read so far this seems an odd response for barclays who normally require letters and have problems with microfieche etc. I am looking forward to getting some money back but am a little daunted by all the legal procedings involved (lucky girlfriend is a law student i guess). I have read somewhere that someone got a full refund by going to the bank and asking the manager is this worth a go?.

many thanks

Jake

p.s I may be way off here but it occurs to me that the money that barclays have taken from me is not sitting in a safe somewhere but is probably invested in something or other and so by using my money to invest could it not be argued that they also owe me a percentage of any profits made from said investments?

Hi Iso, and welcome,

You've come to the right place to get back your charges.

Just read the FAQ's and have a look in the forum for your bank and read the experiences others have had. Above all don't rush in without plenty of reading. When you are happy, start a new thread in the section for your institution that you are claiming against, and away you go. There are lots of people to help you, but don't forget this is a very much a self help site.

Have a look through these links
