I've spent days reading all the various posts and FAQs and I'm very tired.

Lowell have been told that I dispute a debt (which isn't mine btw).

They have since put a default in my credit record, and an entry giving a link to an address I've never lived at.

In the short term, this has screwed up certain plans I had, and will cost me.

They still want to start legal action.

All of this has happened because they have linked me with a different person with the same name.

I need to get rid of that [8] from my credit record - it's not even mine .

Quite simple! Get in touch with your local Trading Standards!

LET THEM START LEGAL ACTION! AND THEN COUNTERCLAIM AGAINST THEM!

Trading Standards Central - Trading Standards and Consumer Protection information for the UK

Don't give them an inch in any telephone conversation, give it to them chapter & verse. Court action threat all the way!

Good luck with it, regards, Dave.
