hi, im new here and quite frankly, a bit lost. i've been meaning to reclaim from my bank, but i keep on putting it off mainly because i'm afraid of the possible negative outcome and i dont know how and where to start.

pardon my ignorance, but i' not quite sure what to reclaim. i got an overdraft facility, and honestly i'm always OVER my limit. my bank's been deducting various amounts every month, from £22 to £100+, depending on how much i'm overdrawn. what's confusing me is on their letter/statement, it doesn't say "charges" but "arrangement fees". according to what i read on the faq, i cant claim fees...:( please, can someone help me understand.

apart from this charges, the other thing that i'm finding hard to accept is i get over my limit after they deducted the "fees". basically, they are the reason why i'm being charged in the first place.

Its a vicious circle-the bank say that you do not have enough in the account to cash the cheque ro pay the Direct debit but surprise suprise they always manage to get their charge paid!

I hope that by all of us claiming our fees back then it will make them realise that we are not going to take anymore of their [email protected]@.

I am not sure what the score is with regards to arrangement fees but I am sure that there are other people on this site that will be able to assist you.

Good luck

Main thing to say is stick to your guns and do not be bullied by the banks-at the end of the day it is your money and you have every right to have it repaid.

Hiya Elvie.

Try not to be nervous, there is plenty of help here.

The best way to think is what can you spend the 8K on...;)

As i advised graceful willow, the best thing to do is to start a thread in your own bank forum, as you will get all the help and advice in there.

Which bank are you with?
