Hello all, i am about to start my court action against Barclays. On my spreadsheet and subsequent letters (which i sent to the bank), i have totalled the amount of interest up to the point of the last bank charge (which was in 2004) There has been no money added in charges between the period of 2004 and 2007 current date. Can i claim for this amount, on top of the amount i an claiming for between the bank charges period (2003-2004)???

The interest is up to today's date - the spreadsheet should do this automatically. Think of it as a high-interest savings account!

No it doesnt matter, the amount you state in your letter is the amount set at the day you wrote the letter, the bank knows this amount increases with every day that they delay paying out.

Just to make sure we are all talking the same language here.

You can claim the charges and interest you paid as a result of those charges.

This interest doesn't vary (or at least not when you use the spreadsheets available)

Interest you charge does vary though on a daily basis, this would be calculated by the spreadsheet you use and increases irrespective of whether you incur any further charges.

Does that help?

Kick the shAbbey Habit

Where were you? Next time please

Abbey 1st claim -Charges repaid, default removed, interest paid (8% apr) costs paid, Abbey peed off; priceless
