have had capquest after me for ages over loans that i say are not mine. i requested a cca ages ago and they refused to send one, but they kept sending me threatening letters (bailiffs are coming to get you, kind of thing).

Last week i sent them a letter saying that if they keep hastling me i am going to take legal action against them.

Today i received a letter saying "Please be advised that this account has been placed on long term hold and referred back to our client above".

Does this mean that they have finally realised that the debt is not mine?

I dont understand why the client (nat west in this case) would want the debt back. surelt capquest bought it off them. why would nat west be interested in taking it back?

advise please

Hi crinanjon this could mean a couple of things

1, they realize they are in deep s**t with CCA

2 or they are just ignoring CCA and will start again in a month or so.

If you have gone past 12days + 1 month report them may get them off your back permanently

they are soooo far past the 12days + 1 month. it is nearly 4 months now.

You need to report this to your Local Trading Standards and the OFT...They will keep coming back to you otherwise..

Just hate every DCA out there

ok, got their addresses off the internet.

regarding my first post, has any one had a similar experience/letter from a dca? if so, what happened next.

Plenty of people get these sorts of letters..Your complaints to the LTS and the OFT should sort the problem out once and for all...You should get a letter from the DCA telling you as much.
