Hi I wondered if anyone could help me. I stupidly bought a washing machine with these people. The agent told me two months ago I only had £250 to clear, suddenly I have £900 to pay??? I know there's a letter somewhere asking for all details etc they hold but I can't find it. Can anyone help?

This should be under a regulated credit agreement. Write to them asking to see a copy of the credit agreement, and a breakdown of all the charges which they are asking you to pay.

You don't really need a template, as a simple letter will suffice. Just make it clear that before you make any payment to them, you wish to see the breakdown of charges relating the agreement they are attempting to enforce.

Lived through bankruptcy to tell the tale! Worked in various industries and studied law at university. All advice is given in good faith only :)
