Hello to everyone,

this site is fantastic, after reading the FAQ's and most threads I decieded that it was time for me to try and claim bank charges from Barclays.

Sent off the Letter requesting Statements: Recieved

Statments Arrived within a week

Sent letter requesting all of my overdraft charges to be repaid, £2000 in total, barclays replied offering me a "will of good gesture" of £85 pounds. I Have rejected that.

So Today I have sent them a polite letter, basicaly requesting that the £2000 is repaid to me and will begin with court procedings in 14 days.

I have lost the original statements, will this matter if the case gets to court? and also i feel as if I am out of my depth now.

please help.

it probably won't get to court but if it does you are going to need those statements otherwise how can you prove you were charged what you claim.

i would request the statements again from barclays even if it costs you a tenner , best to be safe than sorry.

the bank also need to see the statements to verify that your spreadsheet tallies with the amount you were charged.

it is daunting at first but it gets easier believe me , but if you follow the instructions and advice on this site you will get your money back.

if i could do it anyone can.

good luck;)
