My credit card debt is now with a debt collecting agency.

Do I chase them or MBNA for the charges that were placed on my account?

Thanks in advance for helping.

Yes you do

Just hate every DCA out there

Claim against MBNA. It is them who applied the charges.

If the debt that is now with the debt collecting agency is less than the amount of charges that you are reclaiming from MBNA, also consider whether you might also have a case for requesting MBNA and the debt collection agency to suspend all action on the debt recovery because the account is in dispute because of th charges.

Regarding my reply of yesterday, I forgot to say that if you pay off any of the debt to the debt collection agency, inform both them and MBNA in writing that the account is in dispute and the fact that you are making a payment does not mean that you agree with the so called debt and you will expect MBNA to comply with any court judgement that is made in respect of your claim for repayment of bank charges.

Thanks very much guys.

I'll get on to MBNA now - didn't want to go down the wrong path.

If you are ever in London Bridge - give me a call - I owe you guys a pint.
