Started my claim a little while back with the Data Protection Act Request (found in the library off this website) with my £10 fee and sending the letter via recorded post (just incase they decided to loose the letter)

We recieved a letter back from the abbey saying they were dealing with the request blah blah blah. A few days later we recieved god knows how many letters from them which turned out to be bank statements. The famous microfich never showed but we did then recieve a computer print out of all statements as requested.

With a cup of coffee this morning and a round of toast and a calculator i have managed to wrack up £2362 in direct debit fees and £141 in overdraft fees.

Total £2503.00

I believe the next step is the Prelim Letter in the library section can anyone confirm this for me ? and i am assuming i can claim the overdraft fees back as well as the direct debit fees?

Any help appreciated - thanks in advance

Yes - prelim letter giving them 14 days.

Then LBA giving them another 14days.

Then MCOL / COurt action if they try and fob you off with the usual complaint's procedure stuff. Which they will undoubtedly. Stick to your guns. Keep reading and posting but abosrb as much info as possible.

BTW - post in the main Forum for this as this is supposed to be for Successes I think.

Good luck, john;)
