the mrs sent a dpa letter 3 weeks ago authorising £10 to be taken from her account, they wrote back 2 days ago stating it is £5. she has had to send another letter in!

 

quite clever of them employing these 3 week delaying tactics.

 

maybe if others have found this to be the case then a small amendment to the dpa letter is needed for halifax customers

 

c'mon halifax, you owe us....!

It does appear to be common for them to charge £5 - that's what they charged me.

 

However, your deadline stands!!! You authorised payment (effectively up to £10) and they must proceed with the request from the date submitted. Don't let them derail you.

 

If you wish, write back and tell them this.
