This site rocks! Seriously you guys have done an awesome job.

I've been routing around here for the past few days after trying to think about how to get back a thirty-eight pound fine levied on me by Natwest for a direct debit payment over my overdraft limit. I just want to get this back. I phoned them to see if they'd just levy it quoting a few investigation studies and laws and they said they would reduce the figure to half. I still think this is way too much just to tell a company I haven't got enough funds.

That nineteen pounds I can accept at any point. I don't exactly have much money now hence the overdraft. One issue that strikes me right away is the fact they could in principle close my account. So I'm skeptic about trying to claim for the full amount. I'm thinking to accept the nineteen pounds and then reclaim when I finish my study in a few months and have a job for financial back-up. Could I do that? Any other thoughts?

Cheers! Jimmy.
