Geez these guys are stubborn; I can't believe this is being allowed to drag on - I suppose it keeps the county courts in business...six weeks til court I've got, schedule's in the post, working on bundle, wonder if I can charge for the time I've spent on all this?

Hmmm...

There is actually a link to someones thread who is actually trying to do this, but to my knowledge dont know if its ever been successful, you could always add it at the point of negotiations when you phone them up to settle.

what you got to lose?

just dont be greedy.

About the increasing interest RR, I claimed £132.68 in interest at the date of filing with MCOL (noting the daily rate of increase in the claim particulars). Any idea at what point I should bring the amount up to date?

Some people have claimed 9.00 per hour and it has been allowed. However you would need to have requested this in your claim.......or file an ammendment which could add further time as it has to be agreed.

If you requested interest at s69 on the claim form then this will be accruing.

You have no real need to send one that includes updated interest as you will be entitled to it anyway. Its likely that Barclays will settle between 7 and 10 days before the court date....you can then ask for the interest to be paid up to the hearing and will prob get it.

Thanks M30, i think i'll just suffer the time in preparation as it's been educational if nothing else :p.

One other thing, the OFT Statement Summary that should go in my court bundleL: am i including the three page document or the much longer one (both from the oft.gov.uk website) :?.

3 page doc for OFT is ok mrungen, and here's the link about costs. Just to let you know my situ, Barclays paid me in full two days before court, so I've applied for costs (based on their unreasonable behaviour, knowing full well they never intended to go to court) in a letter to the judge for him/her to consider these and have been given another court date for this :)

Other people have been successful in applying for these costs too...but here's the info to help you make up your mind:

Where on earth did you get all this information, Barclays have until Thursday before i start court proceedings and i am at a complete loss on what i do and what i should present. Is there a site someone with all this information, that i can add to my claim, at the moment i only have copies of my letters their responses and a breakdown of charges and fees.

Help please, i am a little concerned

I can't seem to find any collected list of Barclays settled claim numbers to go down the 'abuse of process' route, does anyone know if somebody has done this or do I need to collect them myself... :-?

honest opinion???

A lot of unnecessary work!

stick to your basic court bundle and your own correspondence etc, this is more than enough cos it wont get used anyhoo.

keep going you are doing just fine. nearly there, put the champers on ice..
