I was just wondering if anyone has some advice for me.

We got into trouble with Nat West. We got overdrawn, we owed a lot of money and were advised to take out a bank loan.

Over the years we have been charged thousands in bank charges. How do we stand if we were to ask for bank charges back. We still have 3 years to run on the loan.

I'm just wondering what might be a possibility; would they substitute the bank loan for the bank charges, i.e. cancel the bank loan in return for us dropping our case with the bank charges??

Any help would be appreciated!!

You are fully entitled to claim your bank charges and interest back. I also have a bank loan which cleared my overdraft. I have had over £5 k returned so far with other claims in the pipeline. They paid by cheque. The loan is completely separate and i doubt very much would become a negotiating point in you claiming back your charges. At least when you win your charges back, you will have the choice of what you wish to do. So get started on your claim and get back what is rightfully yours ;)

Good things come to he who waits

Its your money taken unlawfully from your account and you have a legal right to claim it back.
