Ive calculated my apr with ukaviator formula on post 10, and im getting a apr of 49%. Can this be right! it seems alot to me, as other people seem to be coming up with about 29-31%

Hi Wendy

The figures you used in post 10 was to work out your current APR manually. The calculator Martin put on Paintballs thread worked up until yesterday. It now won't link to the website. Not sure why..

This one still works:

Thanks for that but still a bit stuck. Is the interest bit below (in red) going to be that which I have already included in my schedule of charges and which I have already compounded?

Also, in the final section, I have 30% as a daily rate of 0.07% but I'm not sure how to calculate it at a daily rate in monetary value ...

Charges XXX

Interest XXXXX (Just take out the overdrawn bit)

Court Fee xxxx

Plus compounded Contractual interest from date of issue to date of judgement/settlement at £0.xx per day OR at such rate and for such periods as the court deems just.

Paintball,

You need to update your schedule of charges to the date you are going to file at court and put the total interest in where the red is. So it will be total amount on spreadsheet minus the charges and that will be the total interest up to the date you file.

To get the monetary value at the daily rate, just insert the next days date into the spreadsheet and minus the total of the previous day against the date you entered, that will work out the daily figure, mine was about 49p.

Does this make sense?

Hi there, I am looking at vampiresses spreadsheet 16 now and although ive used her simplier one before this one looks rather complicated. What parts do i fill out and what ones are filled for me on entering charge and date.

whats the difference between the simple and advanced one. Any better results??

thanks

Hi there, used vampiress simple compounded contrac interest throughout spready and these are the results. does it look correct to everyone? The onl charges i can claim are £60 as they gave some back before account was passed to debt collection. still paying it off but at least its something. Im going to be doing boyfriends with contractual though and need to get it right has he has a lot more charges then this.

CLAIM DATE: 10-Apr-2007 (that is the date when im requesting payment ie prelim letter?)

INTEREST RATE: 25.86% (got this by using the APR calculator from monthly interest of 1.935%)

TOTAL CLAIM: 84.76

TOTAL AMOUNTS 60.00 24.76

Charge Reason Charge Amount Charge Date Interest

Late Payment fee 20.00 17-Nov-2005 8.68

Overlimit fee 20.00 19-Dec-2005 8.04

Late Payment fee 20.00 19-Dec-2005 8.04

I've always used their unauthorised borrowing rate, because they've ''borrowed'' my cash without my authorisation, keeps it simple, and lets face it, if it's the wrong rate to use, they'd better appear in court to prove it;) , if you keep your claim whole theres no chance of that

OK I GIVE IN
