i have had a mortgage with my friend since may 2006 for the first 6 months the payments was about 1 week late being paid but since then they have always been on time what i am very worried about is that in just over a year when i have to re-mortgage so i can buy a house by my self will i then get rerfused? also i am worried my credit is really bad as with my credit card/store card i have been late with quite a few payments but they have always been paid/ i am wondering does that have a massive effect on your credit rating.

and last thing is does anybody know how to make your credit rating better?

any advice would be great thanks

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Frazer, you probably won't get refused, but you may find that you will have

to pay a higher interest rate than the one you are paying now. Although

other factors may come into play -like the amount of equity in your house

after the remortgage-the higher the better.

To improve your credit rating, you have to pay your monthly commitments on time for a start. It also helps if whatever borrowings you have at the moment,

are settled in the time specified in the contract.
