Last friday Jeremy Vine interupted MSE and said "No more bank stuff, please". He read my mind.

Guest NATTIE

I do agree entirely with the posters above and would simply state that credit card fees went down to £12 and it hasn;t stopped claims. Also the charge being talked about is being over your limit and does not seem to apply to unpaids referral fees and/or card misuse so regardless of anything i still think that it is business as usual, surprised no one has mentioned that one yet.

I cant see that it will make a difference. Surely it all goes back to the fact that the Banks/credit card companies don't want to publish exactly what it costs to send these letters etc.

I hope this helps setting a few minds at rest. :-)

Thanks Bookworm. Yes it does go someway towards taking the worry off. I'm about to post my first letter to my bank! My next worry is the thought of going to court (as I'm sure it is for most people) and the possibility of having my account closed.

Hi, BreezyDay (love the nick, btw :-))

Don't worry, we've all been there, and except for some hard nuts, the thought of going to court is very scary. The reality is that it is highly unlikely you'll ever see the inside of a courtroom (well, for bank charges, that is, I don't know what you do in your spare time!

What you need to do is start your own thread in the relevant forum so that you can be with people going through the same procedure as yourself.

If you click HERE, it will take you to a list of links to pretty much everything you need to find your way round.

Taken in Cornwall, I take it?
C'mon - it can't be both: if it was taken in Cornwall then how could you possibly have taken it...? Besides, if you look at the alignment and placement of the cars you will see that they are driving on the WRONG side of the road. In England we drive on the left hand side...a gauche...

Go on, I dare you...they don't come more gauche than the Cornish???
