27th January, wrote to request charges back of £2200, received an acknowledgment letter, but nothing afterwards.

 

12th Febuary sent LBA with an offer saying she will accept £1900 to settle, Still no reply,or acknowledgement so out of courtesy she has now sent a 3rd and final letter asking for settlement before MCOL.

 

However she is now getting numerous phone calls from HSBC re her loan telling her they are going to call the loan in because she was late on one payment. she is scared witless as they are calling her at work, telling her they want to speak to her there and then and won't wait till she gets home.

 

So thats the story so far, will keep you updated.

They should be reminded that as the account is in dispute they should hold off on any account actions.

There are also guidelines on contacting and it seems they may be breaching these.

There was no obligation to send them a third letter...you should now pile on the pressure and submit the claim.

i was getting loads of phone calls from hsbc and i got really abusive in the end when they wouldnt get it into their heads (probably because of the language barrier and the fact what i was saying, did NOT appear on their prompt cards!). i phoned them and complained and a lady said that it would have been their marketing team - separate from the bank, in other words they would have no idea how your account was being operated. i was furious, but after complaining and telling me to take my name off the telephone banking system... touch wood, no more calls!!!

Well Well Well

HSBC replied today to the 2nd LBA offering £1900 which is the settlement what we would accept.

 

Sent reply off today acepting so in 10 days it should hit her account!1
