hi i have just found out about this site and hear it is really useful in claiming back my bank charges. I have already sent out letters to HSBC and Halifax credit card asking for my charges back, unfortunatley Halifax have said that i signed an agreement for these late fees/over limit fees to be appiled to my account and that basically i cannot get my money back!! Is this true?

Hsbc still haven't contacted me and the 14 days i gave them is now up, what should i do?

Good advice needed please. Thanks

Hi

No that is not true, as the charges could be deemed as unlawful as the are penalty charges.

Anyway, your best bet is to pop into the FAQ bit have a quick look and then have a roam around. It will all become very clear. Any points you are not sure on - just pop up a thread and someone will lend a hand

The best advice you will received is to read the FAQ's and the forums for both HSBC and Halifax.

The letter is a standard reply but before you continue you need to know the correct processes.

You will not get anything but good advice on here
