Hi, recently recieved a reply from Barclays who are offering me the difference between the £12 charge they say is 'recommended' by the OFT and the amount they charged me, although they say they disagree with my 'legal analysis' of the situation. Should i accept that as they are entitled to charge me £12 anyway?

Hello and welcome,

Barclays are talking waffle, read all the F.A.Q.s and Step-By Step Guides. Have a look in your Banks forum, read a few threads then start one yourself. The bank will do everything possible to put you off claiming. Continue with your claim, you will get the lot.

Regards.

Scott.

Barclays are tell you a lie. I suggest that in addition to claiming back 100% of your money that you also send a copy of their offer to the OFT with a complaint and also complain to the Ombudsman that they are breaching the banking code by lying to you.

The bank is only entitled to charge you their actual losses - probably less than £1.00 per time.

Thanks Guys, was just a bit confused as banks are allowed to charge up to £12 now. Going through with the next stage, might complain as well now! Thanks again.
