I have been reading the various post with much interest as I have just been through all my statements that go back to 2001, yes sad that i have them all to hand!!

I have worked out that I have paid £3000 in charges, as i'm new to this I have printed the preliminary approach letter, I have also worked out the interest charges from, dare I say it Money saving expert.com which comes to a total of £629.09, do i include this in the preliminary letter.

What address for Barclays is the best to send to?

Your replies much appreciated

If its the statutory 8% interest, then you should not include this in your prelim letter. It only applies once you file your court claim

Preliminary Letter sent to Woolwich 05/06

LBA sent 19/06

Court claim filed 04/07 : Total £824.75

Acknowledgement of Service 27/07

Defence received 08/08

AQ filed 11/08

Barclays AQ filed 05/09

Hearing date 20/12

SETTLED IN FULL £840.49: 14/12/06

As usual no reply from Barclays with the initial letter, LBA letter drafted this afternoon. I think that Barclays are chasing their tales at the moment with the amount of reclaim action going their way!!!;)

Anyways letter to be posted, recorded delivery tomorrow. lets see if they have the courtesy to reply this time!!!

Hey Parky,

I got a response to my prelim ... but it said 'yeah we might get back to you within a month' .... so their initial 14 days are up and I'm also sending my LBA tomorrow by recorded delivery.

I'll race ya!

Cheers

Jx

(differences between our claims - mine's substantially less than yours, and I closed my account a while back already... I'll be keen to see how they respond)

The more the merrier ;) , best of luck.

Poor Barclays :D I think they will have to start employing a few more people to keep up with the demand. Obviously our three are top of the pile.

Well they have brought it on themselves, up the revolution!!!

I had two claims running at nearly the same time. The 'closed account' LBA was sent on 12/3/07 and I've just had back a 'we've sent your complaint onto the specialist team letter'.

But sent another LBA on 15/3/07 for an open account for nearly £500 in reclaimed charges. Got a letter today saying the £500 is being reimbursed! yay! Right on the brink of me starting the MCOL claim.

How's yours going Parky and 1morenight?

Jx

Hi hepburn,

I had a letter about a week ago asking if I would hold onto the 13th April, so not quite sure if to wait & see what they come back with or start the process of the MCOL.

Good news about the reinbursement on your open account:-D
