The worse ones i have dealt with are,

Lowell, when i asked for proof and stopped paying when they couldn't provide anything they put a default on my credit file. I am still waiting for the proof.

Robinson Way, sending out template letters saying i have not made payments even though i have got a Standing Order set up.

Go Debt, admitted they had no Credit Agreement but still sent several letters demanding payment or they would tell the solicitors to take me to court.

Only have experience of 1st credit (x3) , Clarity and Mercers.

Ist credit yet to produce a CCA on any of them, Mercers pleasant so far but sure we will argue over their 'CCA' and Clarity who are fine.

Another favourite - The Lewis Group, passed my account to Cohens after only a week - A nice easy win!

For pure rudeness 1st credit so far the worst. According to them I have proved I am unreliable! amongst other things. :D

The only good DCA is an unemployed DCA.

Intrum Justicia / Geoffrey Parker Bourne for sheer arrogance

Not strictly a DCA but our dear old friend Bryan Carter has to be the biggest excuse for a solicitor ever to of walked this earth.

Gets CCJ’s by default at old addresses.

Thinks he is above the law.

Does not respond to CCA requests

Does not respond to SAR.

Never admits to his mistakes.

Uses dirty tactics and lies to get you to pay.

Hates paying costs when he looses a case. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Must hold the record for a solicitor discontinuing cases.

I would say not a DCA but also not a solicitor in the true sense of the word.

Lots of love Bryan and God Bless

Yes, I got a 7 day letter from friend Carter, replied stating "I don't recognise debt but if your clients have a valid proveable claim I am going bankrupt so they can join the queue" Signed using a signature font, and sent first class recorded delivery - got the receipt ready to add to claim should it surface!

Haven't had a reply back and they received letter two days after I sent it! I think I have the 'set' of 'suspect solicitors' now

Nelson Guest & Partners

Keppe & Partners

Hamptons LLP (lovely person there said LLP meant 'Licenced Legal Professionals.... nearly had hysterics over that one!

Eversheds

Bryan Carter

HL Legal (Aka Hamptons second desk nearer the printer)

BCW (alleged catalogue debt when I haven't had a catalogue in over 8 years)

Don't think I've forgotten anyone have I?

Horwitch farrely (sp) did not bother me too much . Robinson way sent me a letter once , one that the postman could read with all the details on show through the envelope window . But it was one of their horwich farrely (sp) denoted letters . I had a field day , I sent all their corporate people at horwich farrely complaints . They had their secretaries writing back to me bemoaning the fact I had caused all these important people to read my complaints . I wrote back to tell them if they don't like having to read stuff thats not part of their brief , then neither does the postman and not to send me letters like that again ( even thou i knew it wasn't them ). But I never got another letter like that again with the information all in the envelope window.

Probably 1st credit ( 3 SD's) with Robinson Way as a close 2nd (started court action on a £14k debt and dropped it when told it was statute barred).

Regal Credit are a newbie on my list and can't seem to get their facts straight. They are trying to enforce on a 6yr CCJ and wouldn't believe that their 'client' Natwest already had a CO.

Horwich Farrelly can be added to my 'list', haven't had the joy of Marlin yet...

I still go for Robinson Way and their pitiful attempts to get me to admit to a credit card I never had, and the request to 'supply dates, times and details of times I've informed them and their predecessors of this issue.' When last heard of they had asked Cap1 for a CCA and are well in default!

Had exactly the same;

wrote back a fromal letter of complaint to the senior partner; Nigel Yates;

his reply came back on good quallity 'Horwich Farrelly' letter headed paper,

which provided proof that the RW version of a Horwich Farrelly letter is simply just an RW copy and paste job!

Misleading practices from both RW and Horwich Farrelly: tut, tut, tut.

Reporting both to the OFT and the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Together, with evidence.
