and on that note...don't rely on Square Trade to help out a buyer either

I am a member of Square Trade, and to be honest I don't know why I am continuing to pay them.

They were very useful in the days before ebay changed it's feedback regulations, in that they would help with removal of unwarrented negative feedback.

As far as resolving conflicts they have absolutely no teeth whatsoever.

Does this mean that they can no longer help with having unwarranted feedback removed?

I ask only because I looked into it this week to see if it was soemthing I should join, and it claims to be able to have feedback removed. it sounds from your post as if this no longer the case?

... a little

Square Trade still do that - but the changes that ebay have introduced in the feedback system have greatly reduced the amount of spurious negative feedback.

Of course you can also get unwarranted negatives removed by claiming defamation. For this you need to send your evidence to ebay, and a signed affidavit witnessed by a solicitor.

I signed up with Square Trade over 2 years ago....well halfway through and i changed my mind did not enter any Credit card details but still they opened an account put the symbol on my listings and phoned me to verify details. Never had a letter, invoice or email stating that they want any kind of payment.

Can't beat free stuff even if it is virtual.
