My Husbands Halifax account has incurred just 3 charges over a two year period in total they only come to £110. What are the chances of the Halifax stumping up without too much of a fight.

My accounts are all with the Lloyds who seem to be treating this like some sort of competative brinkmanship and not paying out until they are almost physically forced to I just wondered if the Halifaxx were any more amenable.

Thanks Speedo

Halifax appear to be paying out with a great deal more willingness than many and in particular Lloyds, however you may still be forced to issue a claim, but that should not worry you too much as if you do you are then entitled to claim interest and will of course also receive your court fees back.

iGroup (GE Money) - AoS Filed late, defence late, amended defence also late despite extra time requested and granted.

Vanquis - Claim issued, no AoS or Defence received

Hi - Halifax paid me out after two letters and a phone call, the whole amount of £2281. Have a read of my thread to see my timescales. You should get yours without problem!!! Best wishes.

Halifax - £2281, successfully refunded all charges after LBA letter & telephone call.

Have been offered the difference between the £20 and £12 charges from Capital One -- am sending LBA for remainder.

GE Money - Received settlement of £441, being total charges requested. No interest though.

CCA'd Bank of Scotland / Blair Oliver Scott to produce CCA Agreements on two Credit Cards - well in default, although still chasing payment!!!

EOS Solutions "ceased action on account" on behalf of a friend.

All in all, quite busy at the moment and enjoying every minute of it

My 2nd claim with halifax was for £218. They offered me £218 after receiving the first letter. You could even try phoning customer relations direct, see if a simple phone call will suffice, if not, you know what to do :)

  1. 09/08/2006 - Halifax Account 1 settled in full! £2597.50 :D
  2. 05/10/2006 - Halifax Account 2 settled in full after Prelim ;)
  3. 07/02/2007 - Halifax Accts 1 & 2 further charges - won by default, settled in full
  4. 12/02/2007 - Halifax Account 1 - further charges whilst 3. court claim progressing. Settled in full.
  5. 13/11/2009 - Halifax Account 1 - action begins to fight new overdraft charges
