I opened an account with co-op about six months ago. As I have had over 3 DDs returned in 3 months, they are shutting my account down.

I have only ever been o/d by £2.00 and never more than 48 housr. I get money paid into my account twice a week.

Is there anything I can do?

Capital One : £200.00 - Prelim sent then £68.00 put into a/c. N1 issued 08/08/06 for £132.00 + £19.54 @8% - Total Refund received

Monument: £532.00 + £[email protected]%. N1 issued 08/08/06. Defending claim.

Nationwide: Claiming £4835.87

£4593.53 paid back 18/08/06 Emailed Charles Bacon 21/08/06 to get the difference of 242.34 paid back.

IF what you are saying is the truth & it is soley their charges that have caused the DD's to be returned i'e £35 a time letter telling you this.

then i would be inclined to phone them on 08457 212212 and talk to them.

though they have the right to be very wary as this is a new A/C, & they don't know you. so p'haps sound business sense by them?

you could reclaim the charges IF what you are saying is the truth & tell them you will do so, they might compromise

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
