you wait, there is no need to ring them. they have 14 days and then you are on to the next stage. you will more than likely not get a response before the next letter anyway. Just wish i was this far down the line! i feel i know quite a bit of the claim process just reading this forum waiting for my statements - suppose its a good thing though!

Hi

It is 40 days from SAR and 14 days between Prelim and LBA letters (I'm sure Superowls mistakenly thought you had sent Prelim rather than SAR). Just sit tight and follow the process. Best of luck.

All comments are my personal views - if in doubt then seek professional advice. If you think i've helped then please tip my scales.

Sorry Barney - i thought you meant the prelim - i am at the same stage as you - sent my letter on the 28th December - so the 40 days are up on the 12th, so there is only a week left before the deadline.

I actually spoke to the Data Protection Team today and they said they are very busy but HAVE to get the statements out before the date, but it is taking longer than normal - maybe if you are approacing the deadline you want to give them a call? Their number is in the contacts post at the top of the halifax forum.
