Can I Claim

HI

 

I have a natwest credit card which I have always paid off in time using direct debit.

 

I lost my card a few months ago and ordered a new one.

 

I recieved it and carried on using it as usual. I spent some time abroad with work and when I came back I had a letter from them saying that they had charged me £20 for late payment. I called up an asked why and they said my bank cancelled the direct debit( I also bank with natwest but they are two seperate enitities). I calle dup my bank and they said that the card was cancelled and I was issued a new account number.

 

The credit card company did not tell me that I had a new number and would have to resign the direct debit form. In fact they didnt even send me a new direct debit form until I asked them too.

 

As this was not my fault do I have a case for complaint

I cancelled my card 3 yrs ago, but I'm intent on getting the money they stole from me before that, but I no longer have my statements with an address, so would be v. grateful.
