I have a small problems with DLC.

I had an issue with Citifinancial when I moved from a shared house and suddenly my direct debits were no longer being taken.

Despite several phone calls (where I was assured each time the problem was sorted) and several letters (none of which got a response) it got passed to DLC.

Despite giving Citifinanicial the correct address, they passed my old address to DLC where they tried (so they say) for many months to contact me. The first I knew of this is when a letter turned up at my girlfriends parents house of all places - however, it's not the correct address. The road name is wrong, the postcode is not correct but the postman is "clever" enough to make sure to got there.

I contacted DLC and asked them to remove the address from their system as I've never lived there and has nothing to do with me. The apologies came quickly as did the confirmation the address was removed.

I entered into discussions about repaying the debt and all was going well and I was about to start paying the agreed amount ..... until another letter turned up at the g/f parents address again.

I sent a stinking letter to them, along with a copy of their letter saying it had been removed and I demanded action. Again, it got removed but DLC advised me that they got the address from Experian's "Hunter" system.

They offered to remove £353 from the £2,853 debt as a GOGW.

I subscribe to Credit Expert so I called Experian and on checking they said they can see the info but it's apparently not supposed to be used (they could not explain anything more than this)

I didn't persue it but I had been offered £2,000 from a friend to offer DLC ex gratia to clear the debt with them....which they refused. So I said I'd pay the originally agreed payment. A couple of days later I find the incorrect address is now a linked address on my credit file courtesy of DLC.

What do I do now?? Are DLC breaching DPA as the information they hold about me is not correct (and I've asked for it to be corrected previously). Can I get Experien to remove the info from my credit file?

And what about Experian - can I SAR them to find out why they have this info and where they gained it from??

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

ARGH!!

Now they'e change my current address so that it wrong too - I swear they through addresses in a randomiser-mangler and this one is similar but again not an actual address and registered that in my credit file.

Now my file is littered with linked addresses that are incorrect!!
