Hi Everyone. Has anybody else beenedited by HSBS and persued by DG Solicitors

My Business had a HSBC merchant account. Did some online business over a period of 3 months, followed all HSBC Procedures. Value approx £18000. 3 months after the 6 transactions with a London company. HSBC wrote saying that the transactions were done with dodgy cards. After £9000.00 had been charged back, i realised that the other 9K would soon follow. I closed my account with HSBC. 2 months later they opened my account without my Knowledge or permission. Paid themselves the 9K Wrote to me to inform me that they had re-opened my Bank account and that it was now £9000 OD (un-authorised borrowing) took me to court, I lost, (Now i had court charges & a solicitors fee) I have been paying 250 per month to DG solicitors for the last 3 years. Still owe 3K ish.

Would love to find a way out. Those edited

Any one Got any suggestions

Hi welcome to the site.

I can understand your thought and feelings here but unfortunately I have felt the need to edit a couple of words.

I think there are issues here that can be better answered in the Baliff and debt section.

Can you elaborate a little more on what happened at court ?

Also the basis for the action and what procedures/directions it took ?

I took advise from a solicitor, who informed me that they could not reopen a closed account etc. We were told to pay or go to court, we went to court. They said i was liable for the chargeback money as the bank (HSBC) had a PG from me when the account was opened, and even though the account had been closed for a couple of months, the conditions of the PG were such that it remained active for a period (im not sure how long)

With the recent awareness of unlawful penalty charges being unleashed then you should fare better now.

Anyway this will be a complete new claim so should be unaffected by any previous lit.

You should familiarise yourself with the differences between business and non -business account claims.

I will move your posts into both HSBC and Baliff and debt.

Between the two you should get assistance.
