had a letter back from hfc today saying they wont pay back charges because they say the oft recomends a level of £12.00 and that they charge £15.00 which they beleave is a reflection of actual loss. so now i dont know what to do are they right as it is not that high a charge compared to other companys?:-|

Welcome to the forum.

Of course they are wrong.

Not heard this one before though from them.......their new year resolution must have been to be funnier in 2007 than they were in 2006:rolleyes:

Well if the OFT recommends £12 - which it does not - why are they charging £15.

have a good read around of the site and familarise yourself with te legal basis on which you are reclaiming charges. When you are happy with that then issues your claim. Start a thread in your banks forum and keep it updated so we can suport you along the way.

Good Luck
