Hi, I am going to send off my request for statements. Barclays took £120 off me in the last two weeks alone so I'm not too happy!

My question is how do I send payment? My account is overdrawn so I can hardly send a cheque.

Now I know I probably sound totally irresponsible but my wife has been on statutory sick pay for long term illness for a few months and we've struggled.

I'm really annoyed with Barclays for the way they keep hiking up charges. £35 for unpaid referral and £30 for going over limit.

Hi,

If your branch is reasonably local, you may wish to deliver the letter by hand, give them a tenner, and ask someone to sign for the envelope.

Failing that, a postal order should do the trick.

Good luck.

I think I read a posting, recently, that stated that the bank had returned a postal order as "they have not the facilities to deal with them".

If this has been useful to you, please click on the scales at bottom left of post. Thanks.

You did, but that was later overturned by the Information Commissioner's Office - they took the postal order!

So, to confirm, postal orders are fine.....
