  • 3 weeks later...

just recieved a printout from the last 6 years with a letter advising that there would be no charge for this. If nothing else I am pleased with the service and the speed in which I got these statements.

I have £350 worth of charges so will now begin the long (hopefully not too long) road to getting these back.

Hi Skintchick!

Im about to write to Halifax visa asking for 6 yrs worth or statements so Im pleased Ive found your thread. Did you mention in your request for this info that you were looking into re-claiming your charges or did you just ask for the info? Im hoping to save myself £10 thats all :)

Thanks

Pixie

I am in the middle of filing a claim for my halifax current account.

Just reading your story, am I right in thinking that I can claim for my credit card also? i.e 1-2 days late payment charges of £30 a time?

thanks and good luck!

Yes you can, but if you are 'in the middle of filing a claim' you really should already know that as it is in the FAQs. If you are filing a claim, then read through the FAQs thoroughly as you need to be well prepared.
