I am not doing another guide but I thought this would grab your attention so I am urging everyone to get a copy of the above date December 2006 and spot the changes in the wording of the charges which in my opinion will lead to a new way the bank will defend re service. Please read the leaflet or grab one from your branch tomorrow rather than comment on my speculative approach. I will post the full wording either later on or tomorrow unless someone would be kind enough to beat me to it.

This is not a new guide and may not be in the right place so Mods or Admin feel free to move it.

As promised here are the interesting bits.

Guaranteed card payment fee(formerly card misuse)...Payable when you informally request an overdraft by making a payment supported by cheque guarantee or maestro where there are insufficient funce, or insufficient unused agreed overdraft facility to meet the payment

£35 an item

Paid Referral

Payable when you informally request an overdraft by issuing a payment instruction on your account where there are either insufficient funds or insufficient unused agreed overdraft facility to meet the payment and we in our discretion make payment which results or increases an unarranged overdraft.

£30 an item(max £90 in a calender month)

That was the interesting bits. "informally request an overdraft" would that be a service?
