Hi Fiddler.

Haven't you been reading the FAQs etc?

 

If you go into your branch and request the info, they cannot supply it themselves.

You need to send the Data Protection Act SARs letter from the templates library. don't forget to enclose the £10 fee. They then have 40 days in which to comply with your request.

Keep copies of all letters sent and received. They are your proof of what each side has said.

 

Click on this link for SARs letter....

 

Send it recorded delivery to your own branch. They will forward it to the correct department.

 

Start your own thread in the HSBC Bank Forum and post any questions and progress reports there.

Yes, you can take it in, personally. Ask for a receipt for the letter.... always cover your back.

 

There is no problem in doing that, but as I said, the branches don't have the facility to do it themselves.
