I've got a Debt Management Plan with the CCCS and am now starting to receive the various default notices. Some have moved quicker than others and I've today recievd a letter from AMEX stating that it has passed my debt to a DCA - it looks as if they have charged a 'fee' for this of circa £1500/1600 although they haven't sent any statements to back this up. Is AMEX within their rights to charge such a high fee for this - it seems to be a case of kicking someone when they are down! CCCS state that whilst it appears excessively high, they are within their rights to charge this.

Has anyone else encountered a similar experience and if so how did they deal with this? If all my creditors did this, it would take another year and a half to repay my debt. I'm trying to do the right thing here in repaying the debt in full but it seems like I'm being conspired against!:)

All help and guidance welcome.

This is wrong and unlawful. You need to send a sar off to amex and any others that you money to. they will then send you a breakdown etc. look under the templates section.
