Hi guys

First of all thanks for a cracking site - my husband told me about this whole movement of people claiming back their bank charges and knowing that I've been blighted by this over the years, he told me to research it on the web and I'm glad I did. This site was the first place I found.

Over the years Bank of Scotland and now HBOS have absolutely taken me to the cleaners for various overdraft charges. Last christmas they removed £2000 from my bank account with no warning and when I went to discuss this - they told me it was for backdated overdraft payments - even although they had been paid for. I got no further fighting them through the branch - and still they continue to pile on £30 charges here there and everywhere -sometimes I get 3 or 4 a month - even if my account is in check. I'm at the end of my tether with them.

So I'll do a lot of reading and catch up with everything on this site and hopefully you'll all be able to help me through this - even to reclaim a little of my hard earned cash back would be great.

Thanks for all the info - look forward to getting to know you.

Thank you - Im already writing a letter to the bank regarding their overcharging of my account. I receive incapacity benefit and month on month they remove hefty charges from my account - leaving me with nothing to live on. By reading one of the threads in your other forum section I've calculated that since Jan 2006 they've removed over 1200 pounds from my bank account - which is lifeblood to anyone who receives benefits for being disabled.

Hopefully I'll be able to recoup something....

Then it's onto the next challenge of trying to sort out the rest of their mess.
