Hi I'm new to the site and have recently sent my letter to Abbey for charges over the past year to be sent to me. As i saw on this site you need to read the FAQ before you send your information. Although I have sent my letter my response is not due until around 8th January. Luckily I have started with my own timescale. Therefore the next stage I think should be the LBA. Can anyone help me out with this so that I take the right steps. Would I be able to go for charges before last year once I'm succesfull with my first claim as I am to win with your help?

Happy New Year !

You don't need to claim 1 year at a time. You can make one claim for the last 6 years. If you don't have your statements you need to send a Data Protection Act S.A.R - (Subject Access Request). See here:

All this is explained in the FAQs and step by step guide:

Might be useful to read them again

Thanks, I'll look into requesting the SAR. I'll await the response of the first letter to see what the Abbey Says. I have already ordered the Reclaim the Right book. Is there anything I need to do next? whilst waiting for there reply?
