I sent off my S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) on 18/12 and received a letter the next day from the branch advising that I'd omitted the cheque, and they were only charging £5.00. This was duly returned.

Today I have received a letter from Halifax returning the cheque and requesting £10.00.

Unfortunately I have mislaid the original letter. I think I should just stump up rather than split hairs for £5, but its the principle.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have 2 accounts with the Halifax. I have now received all my statements from 1 and am compiling them in the spreadsheet. I am applying for the return of my charges with contractual interest. However I went over my arranged overdraft for a couple of months, would I calculate my interest at the 29.8% interesr for unarranged or 18.9% for arranged overdrafts.

Additionally on the last charge that has been applied 6 Jan the spreadsheet has not added interest ( is this because a calendar month has not passed?)
