hi everyone, im so excited to have joined and i am bursting with questions, so here's the first if anyone can help. i took out a managed loan just over a year ago because the charges on my unauthorised overdraft left me crippled and unable to pay. i fought with the bank for many months claiming that the charges were outrageous and partly their responsability but they would not drop them and in the end i got too frightened and tired to fight and was persuaded to take out a managed loan. is it too late for me to take action against them as now i am paying back a loan, all the charges and interest on top so they are basically making a mint off me. please can anyone advise me on my options.

many thanks

tomygo

Not too late at all.

In fact if it can be shown that the loan was given/used to repay unlawful penalty charges in whole or part then you have a case for possibly claiming the loan back as well.

One SAR should cover all info so you should reconcile the loan with your account charges and work out whats what

Do some reading to begin with to kick start the process.

If you are able to maintain any loan repayments that are still in place by agreed figures then you should continue to pay it for the moment.
