Hi guys....been a while since I posted here!

Basicaly I have been offered full settlement of £303 on my second claim BUT since starting the claim have been charged another £74! Should I decline the offer by the solicitors and advise that I will settle for £377 or go to court. I have the court allocation paperwork to fill out. Has anyone tried this strategy with DG solicitors and what was thje response? ( I believe I can alter my claim amount at an additional cost of £30...is this correct?)

You can alter your claim via N244, but personally I don't think its worth it in this instance. Once you have filed you can't add any new charges so I would accept full settlement. If it went to court they would still have to pay you £303, as that is the claim amount. If you could alter amount via N244 it would cost you £35 anyway.

All I can say is that the money is rightfully yours. If you ask for it they will close your account.

If you are not bothered by this, (which I wasn't) then make sure you have another account open first, then get your £74.
