Hi all,

I have been contacted by Capquest trying to get me to set up an account to pay a debt they are saying I owe for £3500.

This is all by email.

the debt they are saying is with HBOS.

here is a copy of part of it;

Documents are not available to be requested from HBOS, however if you do not recognise this account I am happy to look into this further for you.

This account opened 29/05/2002 and defaulted 20/08/2008. Do you recognise this account?

I have told them I do not recognise this debt and also it is from 2002 and defaulted he said in 2008.

Should I send some sort of official letter to them by mail?

  • dx100uk changed the title to Capquest and old HBOS debt

how many times have you been told NOT to ever converse about debt by email/phone/txt.....:frusty:

if you've not paid or used this credit in 6yrs then send them our statute barred letter by royal mail 2nd class

get free proof of posting at any PO counter...bye bye debt .....bye bye they.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
