Hi all, this is my first post here - I've watched and read from the sidelines since I started to put my claim together and now I'm getting to the "business end" I thought I'd better get some advice and make sure Im doing everything correctly!!

The stage Im currently at is this....

*posted my AQ to my local court (3rd Nov 06)

*recieved a letter from Sechiari, Clark and Mitchell (9th Nov) with a copy of the defence AQ and a request to acknoweledge safe receipt - im going to ring them after this...

*recieved a letter from my local court - a "general from of Judgement or order" asking for copies of all document Intended for use to be delivered to every other party. I take it this means I have to send S,C & M copies of my spreadsheet etc?? What else would I need to send??

Any help would be great.....

Cheers , Scut

Hi Oggie

Before you start please have a thorough read of the FAQs (there’s a Step by Step guide here too). You should print both of these out to refer to, so as to avoid having to ask basic questions later.

Then look at other threads in your bank’s forum, so as you know what you can expect to happen. You can claim back your charges, and a few are trying for the payback of Early Redemption Charges on loans and Mortgages.

You need to spend 2 or 3 days gradually getting your head round everything. If you find a forum/thread/post of interest, save it in your Favourites, so as you can always find it easily.

There’s a lot to take in, but it’s time well spent and will ensure that you succeed in your claim without problems. Remember it’s not a race, don’t rush, just follow the guidelines one step at a time.

This is a self-help forum and you must be prepared to put in time and effort. It is your claim, your money and you cannot expect others to do all the work for you.

When you feel confident that you understand the process and the various stages involved, start a new thread in your bank’s forum and post your progress and any questions there and you’ll get plenty of help.

All the info to get you started is here:

Good luck

There are different guidelines for compensation regarding recorded delivery items, but not the same protection as special delivery.

You can only claim up to the value of the item or up to 100 times the weight.

With special delivery you can claim 500 quid for lost or damaged items/delayed items or more if you pay the higher rate.

Sadly looks like you have no recourse here.

I would make a complaint on either the RM website or your local sorting office as enquiries may turn it up and save you 40 days.

You have just been unlucky here.

I have moved all posts into the Lloyds bank group this is now your own thread.
