I need help!!!! :-x

I have been chasing HSBC for ages for my previous statements as they love charging me im sure it's going into £1000s of charges, as 1 year alone was just over £900! I've sent the relevant letters which i got from the templates and still NOTHING. I e-mail them and they just keep replying "the relevant dept will be in contact soon" but thats rubbish, now today they've e-mailed me a reply to the complaint i made 2days ago about the length of time there taking and they just said they don't know how long they'll be

Its driving me INSANE, is there anything else i can do, im willing to go to court to sort this if they keep treating me like an idiot

sorry for the mega whinge

If you make a proper disclosure request with the appropriate fee then they have 40 days to comply. If they don't comply within that period then you sue - easy as as that.

My suggestion is that at the expiry of 35 days you should give them a 14 days warnng of legal action. This gives them a little leeway. Only make threats if you will carry them out.

At the expiry of your 14 day warning you make your claim. No mor letters, contacts, phonecalls anything. Just claim.

I'm afraid that with many of the banks, this is all they understand.
