Hi folks,

I was parked on a single broken yellow line with no sign and no terminator line outside the building where I work.
I have parked there many times with no problem - so why have I got a ticket this time and can I appeal?

In their evidence photos they show a road sign - but that was blocked by a truck and was not near the section I was parked at.

Yeah - I realise that - BUT that sign was blocked by a truck parked at that section and the line is broken by a tar-mac section!

The truck was legitimately allowed to park there to unload at 14.59

Since you work there and have parked there many times, ie you are no stranger to the area, you can hardly claim that you were unaware of the waiting and loading restrictions.

You could argue that because of the 'gap'  caused by the resurfacing at the pedestrian croosing, that there are two separate lengths of single yellow line and each section requires it's own separate timeplate, which your section didn't have. Good luck with that!!

I'd take the discount and find somewhere else to park in future

Nothing to do with yellow lines...

Looks to me that you've parked next to a pedestrian crossing on the white zig zag lines.

A big no no!

We could do with some help from you.

No,  there is a zig-zag along the opposite kerb, but a SYL where the OP parked.
